Amanda Cornaglia LGPC-Intern
Hello! I’m Amanda Cornaglia and I am a clinical intern, completing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Hodges University, graduating at the end of 2022. I earned my B.A. in Asian Studies, with a focus on Japanese and Chinese language and culture, from Hamilton College in 2001. Since then, I have worked primarily as a musician and a teacher, with experience in international relations, as well as business and event management.
My experience working with people of all ages from around the world has taught me to see the whole person and to meet them where they are, rather than where the world is telling them they should be. I strongly believe that my role as a therapist is to help you find and utilize your strengths and purposefully approach challenges to create a life that you want, no matter how unconventional.
My therapeutic approach is person-centered and we’ll work together to find what best suits your needs. My interests are in working with children and teens, especially as they navigate growing in a time of unprecedented change in the wake of the pandemic.
I also work with adults seeking assistance through stressful or overwhelming transitions or struggling with communication, intimacy, or identity issues. I am eager to work with clientele of diverse backgrounds, LGBTQ+ affirming, sex-positive, and polyamory-friendly.
