Hello, and welcome to Ponciano Counseling & Wellness. I am completing my Master’s in Counseling at Northwestern University and am thrilled to be part of this dynamic practice. With a BA from Washington University in St. Louis and an MA from Columbia University, I have lived across the country and around the world and have previously worked in publishing, communications, and education.

I have worked extensively with teens and young adults in education settings and enjoy helping them and their families navigate these years full of both challenges and opportunities. In addition, through my studies of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the Gottman Method for couples therapy, and more, I embrace the power of a range of evidence-based techniques to help clients achieve positive change. My other professional interests include multicultural and group counseling, and I am passionate about global access to quality mental health care.

I take a collaborative, proactive, and strengths-based approach to help adults and adolescents both identify goals and create an individualized plan to achieve them. Warmth, empathy, and a focus on overall wellness are also central to my approach.
